Old News (from eNews)

I'm working on a new section to the site. Stuff like music I listen to, movies I like, etc... It's eFavorites.

We had our first baseball game today... We need a little more work. :) We lost 25-13. I was 1 for 4 with 2 RBI's and a run scored.

Only three more days until spring break (and Friday's a half-day)... I can't wait.

It's really annoying when you're doing fx, and all of a sudden Premiere core dumps. It's about time for Adobe to get their act together and release 5.0 for the o2... Oh well. Just load back up and try it again I guess...

I had a really sinking feeling like something was really wrong all day today... but nothing really happened. Weird. I think I'm just going insane. At least it's nothing major... I was worried...

Let me take a second to point people towards the great backgrounds at Digital Blasphemy. I spend many an hour staring at my computer, and their images help make the day just a little more bearable.

So much to do, so little time... I think the world's against me right now. I've got a cold that won't go away, x11amp is seg-faulting regularly, and Perl is bailing for weird and mysterious reasons... I think I'll leave now. At least my car likes me.

The new Mozilla "release" came out today, so I downloaded it. It's impressive, but the RPM version was a little flaky for me. I'm building it now just for the fun of it, and to see if GTK themes work. :) That would rock. It looks pretty sweet, though.

Y ou know you're pathetic when you mount a zip drive at /usr/local to buy more space. :) That's just rough... Anyway, it's replaced with a 4.3gig ultrawide SCSI drive now. That's a slight upgrade if you ask me...

Heh. Being in the attic during a Michigan winter can't do wonders for inkjet printer cartridges. Amazingly, the BJC-4000 we had in the attic still works. Will wonders never cease...

Old News (from eNews)

I bought The Onion's book, Our Dumb Century, today. All I can say is... wow. By far the funniest book I've seen in a long, long time. That's all I'm going to say. Just buy it, you definately won't regret it.

It's a crazy world we live in... For proof, Click Here. At least they ruled it frivilous...

Not much new here. I think my schedule's going to drive me crazy, but I'll try to post more at that point. I don't mind, though. Baseball is baseball. No matter what I have to go through, it's worth it.

Old News (from eNews)

Baseball started today. We're doing a ton more conditioning than last year. It's tough, but we need it.

I've finally given into the dark side... AOL screen name (instant messanger only, I'd never use that excuse for an ISP) msbob5.

Old News (from eNews)

I just spent 4 hours parsing log files. I think I'm going to have stats nightmares tonight... Wow. I got most of what I needed to done, though, so I'm happy.

More in my series for the socially challenged (if you had a life, you wouldn't be reading this)... Check out the eWorld walk-through for a pictorial guide to my habitat.

I crashed my machine twice today. I feel special. :) I think my uptime was like 19 days before that, and then it freezes twice in the same day. I know what caused the second one, but the first one it just froze up out of the blue. Oh well.

If you're ever stuck in a situation where you have to communicate via Latin (happens to me every day, if not more), be sure to memorize these phrases. If you get email from me, you might notice that this is the source of my always inspirational sig files.

I guess that should have been snippet... I really should write a modify function for this thing...

Anyway, life goes on. RealNetworks released RealProducer for Linux, and it looks fairly cool, but still no G2 player (although the libs from RealProducer fixed the problem with RealAudio and kernel 2.2).

If anyone out there hasn't seen Strange Brew (I'm finding this is a rather common void in modern culture), drop whatever you're doing and run to your local video store to rent it. It's got to be THE funniest movie I've ever seen. Second is probably Robin Hood: Men in Tights, but his surpasses even that. Heh. I'm laughing just thinking about it...
