So as part of my job I see a lot of movie trailers, most many, many times. Though the strength of these trailers may or may not reflect the quality of the picture itself, usually it's a good early indicator. Click to read what I'm looking forward to.

In no particular order...

Katie Holmes and Charlie Hunnam, a Brit who doesn't appear to have been in a movie before, though his little bits in the trailer are good. Sort of a spooky air to the whole thing. Written and directed by the screenwriter for Traffic. Release date is Sep. 27.

This movie is a parade of relative unknowns, but looks like it could be good. The bits shown so far show a lot of promise, we'll see if the film itself can hold up. Release date is Aug. 23.

I really like Reese Witherspoon, and I really like this trailer. Every time I see it, I turn the volume back on so I can hear it and laugh. Release date is Sep. 27.

Robin Williams in another abnormal role for him. This movie should be a much better vehicle for him to break out with than was Insomnia. The concept is fascinating. IMDB says the release date is limited on Aug. 21, but that's the only date I've seen. I don't know if there's a different wide date, but by August 21 it doesn't matter for me (back in LA).

Jennifer Aniston takes a dramatic role in a movie that also stars John C. Reilly, who I liked from Magnolia. The trailer does a great job of setting up the premise, then leaving no hints about where the movie will go. IMDB says the release date is limited on August 7.
